It might be too bright, or even look sickly. That’s why when I saw the color Hula Skirt from Clinique I knew I had to scoop it up. There are four different colors in the line, but I fell in love with Hula Skirt which is a pretty pale green.
Affordable from Clinique, it was in my budget and what I hoped would be the perfect shade of green.
First impression counts
When I purchased the polish and got it home I wasn’t disappointed.
The first thing I noticed about this line of nail polish from Clinique was that it was for people who have sensitive skin or people who have sensitive eyes. I was intrigued by this and it is what initially got me looking at the polishes in this line.
These nail polishes didn’t have any harsh chemicals in them so they won’t burn your eyes or irritate your skin around your nails.
When I opened the nail polish it didn’t burn my eyes and I couldn’t smell any noticeable harsh odours, so I was already impressed.
I shook the bottle, but I don’t think this was necessary as I noticed no separation like some nail polishes you can buy.
Application of the product
The green polish is thick so you don’t need more than one coat if you are able to paint without mistakes.
The brush was easy to use and thinner which I like for a more even coat. Even if you aren’t the best at painting your nails, it is really hard to mess up a coat of this kind. There was no clumping and one coat looked nice and sleek.
It didn’t take too much time to paint my nails, let them dry, apply a top coat, and go.
The polish dried fairly quickly and looked shiny which I loved. The color was long wearing and lasted several days before it started to chip.
I love a polish that allows me to go for days without having to re-polish or take it off. I like the color as I feel like it not only matches well with a lot of my outfits, but other nail polishes as well.
I recommend this polish to those of you who like green shiny polish. The fact that it is for people sensitive to harsh chemicals is just a bonus to an already great product!
